Copenhagen Opera House
The Copenhagen Opera House is the national opera house of Denmark, and one of the most modern opera houses in the world. The Opera House was donated to the Danish state by the A.P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation in August 2000 and is reported to have cost over 500 million dollars to build. All levels of the marble-clad foyer offer sweeping views of Renaissance Copenhagen and the city harbour. A restaurant with roof terrace is situated on the top floor offering a panoramic view of the royal palace, Amalienborg, and the adjacent domed Marble Church. The easiest way to get to the Opera is by Harbour Bus (boat) from the pier near Nyhavn 71.
